Basic Course Netiquette

Academic Honesty

In programming courses or courses that include program component, you must be particularly diligent in submitting only your own work. It is considered plagiarism if you take program code written by another person and present it as your own work.

In completing the assignments for this course, if you use another source or sources, you must clearly document what source(s) you used and the extent of that use. References for unquoted/paraphrased and quoted material should be formatted according to ACM guidelines (see https://www.acm.org/publications/proceedings-template).

Submitted work that is significantly comprised of external sources may receive a reduction in score. In addition, not following proper external source documenting requirements will be considered plagiarism and will result in the sanctions described in the syllabus.

Bottom line...you earn credit for the work that you do yourself!
